X-mas Solitude

Nothing to say this holiday.

All alone this season.

Thinking thoughts of the way things could have been.

But, they aren't like they were before

And I don't know if they will be again.

I put up the Christmas tree

Nothings going under it though.

No one ever bothers to come by and say hello

No one ever bothers to ring my telephone.

I just sit there, staring at the

Decorated evergreen tree.

All the differnt color lights

All the sparkly freatures!

I get up from my chair

And take a walk outside

I see snow on the ground.

And decorated houses colorful with lights.

I see differnt types of Christams trees

Through windows of course

I see chlidren with smiling faces,opeaning their presents

And who am I with?

No one like before.

But, it kinda makes me feel glad that someone out there is happy.

Some people are out having strolls with their darlings

Some poeple wave to me.

But, I don't get it.

Don't they know who I am?

Of course they don't

They know nothing about me.

Which then makes me cry,

So I head back home.

It's funny how someone

You don't know.

Can be so nice

As to wave to you or just say "Hi"
